Frontiers has worked with Three Rivers Ranch for over 30 years, longer than any other fishing operation in the West. It continues to be a favorite for our clients who seek dependable fishing, warm Western hospitality, impeccable meals, scenic surroundings and masterful guides. The ranch is ideally located in Warm River, and is licensed on a number of fine rivers in Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. Fishing destinations include the Henry's Fork and South Fork of the Snake River, the Madison, the Teton, Robinson Creek (flows through the ranch), and many of the rivers in Yellowstone National Park.
Guests split their time between wading and floating, enjoying the best of both worlds. Three Rivers, an Orvis-Endorsed Lodge, is licensed to guide on 16 legendary streams. The guides coordinate the weekly schedule covering the best stretches of water with prolific hatches and hungry trout!
Expertly owned and managed by Lonnie Allen and her team, the ranch accommodates 20 guests in cabins or in the Robinson Creek Lodge. Dining is in a handsome lodge decorated with Western memorabilia, and the evening schedule is geared to maximize fishing time.
We will provide a through list of what to pack. The lodge also has a fly shop on-site. We like 4- to 6-weight rods (depending on the streams you are fishing) with floating lines. Be sure to bring quality raingear, polarized sunglasses, waders and a hat for sun protection. Dress in layers!
The lodge typically operates on a 6-night/5-day program with arrival on Saturday, 5 full days of guided fly fishing Sunday-Thursday with departure the following Friday. Shorter packages are available upon request and availability. Guests access the ranch by flying to either Idaho Falls or Jackson, WY, each less than 2 hours away. The ranch provides complimentary ground transportation from both airports. For the nonfishers, other activities are available including excursions to scenic attractions such as Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Mesa Falls and Jackson.

It’s been a bit of a roller-coaster ride, weather wise, out West so far this season. A few of our favorite destinations seem to be locked into a pattern of several cooler days topping out in the 50s, then a day or two with highs in the 60s, then a day or two in the low 70s and then back down again and so on. The fish have adjusted and are showing up regularly, but the bugs are bit scattered for now. This means 2 things for sure:
