True Wilderness Less Than 100 Miles from Anchorage

Heli fish in total isolation – remaining space at a discounted rate!

Get ready for an unforgettable fishing adventure like no other at Talaheim Lodge, Alaska! Just a quick 45-minute charter flight from Anchorage, this exclusive Heli-fishing program takes you to pristine, unbothered waters where you’ll find solitude and quietness—without a single angler in sight. What sets this experience apart? The remote location is so inaccessible that other lodges can’t reach it by conventional means. No float plane or jet boat can navigate most of this area. But that's where the magic happens. Your helicopter becomes your personal guide, dropping you into small rivers and streams that are only reachable with these nimble flying machines. It’s truly a fishing experience you won’t find anywhere else!

The below weeks are offered at $1000 discount per person. Normally $9,600 per person from Anchorage, now $8,600 per person.

July 20-26 (opening for two)
Great top water bite for trout and grayling, pike, dolly varden, and salmon.

July 27-August 2 (opening for two)
Prime fishing for rainbow trout, char, and grayling. In addition, there are four species of salmon entering our rivers during this time: pinks, sockeyes, chum, and a few early silvers.

August 24-30 (opening for two)
This is a great week for fall fatten trout, char, huge grayling, and aggressive silver salmon on the surface and on streamers in their fall colors.

August 31-Sept 6 (opening for four)
Continue with fall fattened trout, char, huge grayling, and aggressive silver salmon on the surface and on streamers in their fall colors.

Their August weeks last year produced some of the best trout fishing they’ve seen in 40 years. Plenty of 20+ inch rainbows and dolly varden were brought to the net.

Each week kicks off with a scenic Sunday morning flight to the remote Talaheim Lodge landing strip and ends with a Saturday evening return to Anchorage—just a 45-minute flight (about 80 miles) each way. Flights are included in the package. But here’s the best part: both travel days are fishing days, giving you seven days of fishing and six nights of cozy lodge accommodation. As if that weren’t enough, guests are treated to an exclusive one-hour glacier tour in the late afternoon after a full day of fishing. Get up close and personal with your very own "private glacier," only minutes from the lodge. This hands-on adventure is something you won’t find at most fishing lodges, making Talaheim truly stand out as a multifaceted trip.

Cast your line into seldom-fished tributaries, where it’s just you, your guide, and an eager crowd of fish waiting for you to arrive. With all five salmon species, rainbow trout, dolly varden, arctic char, and grayling thriving just a short flight away from the lodge, you'll be surrounded by a variety of wild fish. And these aren’t your typical fish—they’re aggressive, attacking a fly or skated mouse with a wild, reckless abandon. It’s an exhilarating experience unique to Alaska.
