Sécure Lodge is the newest dorado program hosting six fly fishing guests per week. Located within the rugged Indigenous Territory of Bolivia, you will fish the Sécure River and its tributaries offering varied types of waters during your stay. Their well-planned rotation has you on new water every day so you not only experience this virgin mountainous rainforest, but also fish a range of waters that are home to amazing species including dorado, pacu, surubi catfish, and yatorana.
You will fish for six full days on distinct sections of the Sécure River and its tributaries. Sécure Lodge is situated in the Sécure River headwaters, and you will also fish two smaller tributaries. They offer a remote out-camp where you may choose to overnight camp during your stay.
The Sécure Lodge experience is based from one comfortable jungle lodge. They offer single-occupancy wooden cabins for each guest. Each cabin offers spring beds, private bathroom with flush toilet, hot water, and electric light.
As a general rule, 7 to 9 weight rods rigged with tropical grade floating / sinking lines. Wet wading is the standard. A complete list of gear will be sent upon trip confirmation. Frontiers can provide expert advice on finding the right gear for your trip.
Sécure Lodge is best accessed from Miami, Florida, via Aero Boliviano. Guests will fly into Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Included are 7 nights /6 days of fishing with two overnights at a 4 star hotel. You’ll take a charter flight from Santa Cruz to the lodge and return. The lodge generator and battery system offer 110/220 power. It is necessary to bring a converter for your electrical devices. 99% of the fishing is done by wet wading or fishing from the banks of the rivers. Temps; 65º F to 95º F.
