Belize River Lodge is a tried-and-proven, world–class fishing lodge set in tropical greenery and colorful flowers. This is a perfect choice for a serious fishing expedition. Enjoy the tranquility of the hundreds of birds on the property, as well as being serenaded by the nearby howler monkeys. In addition to the outstanding fishing program, non-fishing or semi-anglers can enjoy many eco-adventure tours (both ½ and full days) throughout the mainland such as the Mayan Ruins, canoeing, the Belize Zoo, and zip-lining courses, to name a few. Snorkeling and leisurely boat tours are also available.
Local waters harbor a diversity of species–bonefish, tarpon, permit, snook and many more. Fish with veteran guides, either on the nearby rivers or a short boat ride to the miles of flats that offer all 3 grand slam species. Large migratory tarpon available between April and October.
The lodge is constructed of native mahogany, providing a warm, relaxing atmosphere. With a maximum capacity of 16, the lodge has 8 double rooms each with private bathroom. The meals are prepared in the best Belizean tradition. Owners Mike Heusner and Marguerite Miles make you feel right at home.

Belize is a 2 1/2-hour flight from several U.S. gateway cities (Miami, Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta). The lodge is conveniently located 10 minutes from the Belize International Airport. This offers the opportunity for anglers to fish a half day on arrival or departure if your flight schedule permits. Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge. There is no minimum stay or set arrival or departure day.
For U.S. citizens; a passport that is valid for 6 months after the last day of your trip is required. Residents of other countries should check with their consulate for entry requirements.
