Majestic Rivers hosts access to a collection of untouched rivers, each brimming with unique fishing opportunities. Led by world-class guides who possess extensive local knowledge of fishing, wildlife, history, and the wilderness, this trip promises an experience like no other. Located in the heart of Nyerere National Park, the Camp stands as an oasis of comfort and hospitality. In addition to river fishing you will also fish the Nyerere Dam. The dam and rivers are protected and fish numbers very healthy. The wildlife, birdlife, vegetation and landscape are all remarkable in the National Park .
Fishing is on foot from the riverbank or from small angling boats. Fishing on foot may involve boat use to access islands or rocks..Boats are stationed across various beats and accessed by vehicle from Camp. There is a huge variety of water and in additional to tiger fish several other species.
The Majestic Rivers Camp offers six comfortable Meru tents (doubles), nestled beneath shaded riverine trees overlooking the Kilombero River. Each tent features en suite facilities including a shower, basin, flush toilet, and hot water. There is also a desk with charging facilities.

The Majestic Rivers Camp is situated on Kilombero River within Nyerere National Park, Africa’s largest national park, spanning over 30,000km2. Camp lies within an accessible radius of many kilometres of prime fishing. Trips run from Saturday to Saturday and you will need to be in Dar es Salaam by Friday night before the trip in order to catch the charter on Saturday morning. Prime season for tiger fish is September to November and the trip is limited to 8 people per week.
From $7,500 per person per week, based on sharing a twin room and a guide. Single rates are available. This includes the charter flight from Dar es Salaam, 7 nights full board accommodation and 6 days guiding fishing including fishing licences and park fees. Contact us for full details.
