Guests will shoot ducks, doves, perdiz, and even wild pigeons with the assurance of a tenured outfitter known remarkable shooting venues and extraordinary dogs.
Bernardo Barran’s classic offering of morning perdiz hunts over prized setters or decoyed ducks from dry blinds. Lunch at the estancia features regional cuisine and fine wines. Afternoons offer a volume dove shoot as vast flights of eared doves migrate between fields and roosts, just a few km away.
The historic 19th century mansion of noble lineage exemplifies the rich traditions of Uruguay. Offering six ensuite bedrooms, it is ideal for smaller parties or up to 10 guests comfortably. The Barran’s hospitality and cuisine has become famous over their exemplary 30 years in the shooting world.
Semi-auto and o/u rental guns from 28 ga. to 12 ga. will be available. Beretta/Benelli are the common brands carried. Shells species appropriate. Shooting clothes should be light green, green or brown; camouflage is optional. A recoil reduction device is suggested to ease impact of volume shooting.
Uruguay Lodge is located in the in the northwest region of Uruguay in the Department of Rio Negro, approximately 200 miles from Montevideo. American Airlines offers daily non-stop commercial air service from Miami to Montevideo, Uruguay. Hunters will be met at the airport, assisted with gun clearance, if necessary, issued with hunting licenses and transported to the lodge. Van transfer from Montevideo to the estancia is a 4.5 hour drive. Private charter options are quoted upon request.
