Tarpon, bonefish and permit are the main targets. Anglers will also find snook, barracuda, jacks, ladyfish and other species on the flats, and a variety of reef species. Fishing is from traditional pangas or wading hard sand flats. Migratory tarpon are typically available June–September.
All 14 main lodge rooms have recently been renovated and expanded, with all new furniture and large bathrooms. In addition, there are 8 3-bedroom villas that work perfectly for intact groups. Guests enjoy 3 pools, complimentary Wi-Fi, kayaks, bicycles and fly casting lessons.
A 7 or 8 wt. outfit for bonefish, 9 or 10 wt. outfit for permit and baby tarpon, all with tropical saltwater floating lines are recommended. A complete gear list will be sent upon confirmation. Frontiers can provide expert advice on finding the right gear for your trip. Rental gear is available.
Belize is a 2 1/2-hour flight from several US gateway cities (Miami, Houston, Dallas and Atlanta). Once guests clear customs, they fly on Tropic Air (20 minute flight) to San Pedro, Ambergris Cay. There, they will be met a by a representative and transferred by private water taxi to the lodge (5 minute ride). The air/boat transfer is included in the package rate.
For U.S. citizens; a passport that is valid for 6 months after the last day of your trip is required. Residents of other countries should check with their consulate for entry requirements.
