The Flying B Ranch in Kamiah Idaho has exclusive outfitting rights to over 740,000 acres of the Nez Perce and Clearwater National Forests. This first class operation offers managed bird hunts for ring neck pheasant, chukars and Hungarian partridge. Wild blue and ruffed grouse as well as valley quail thrive in the surrounding mountain ranges. Each outing is a personalized experience offering plenty of shooting with no bag limits. With six species of upland game birds to shoot, your hunt will cover a wide variety of habitat from timbered ridges and brushy draws to canyon sides and open pastures.
Offers some of the best English and German short haired pointers for hunts and currently kennels dogs with nationally recognized lineage. A professional guide staff, an abundance of gamebirds, and the best pointing dogs you will ever hunt over make the Flying B a top choice destination.
Rustic luxury at its finest. The main lodge has 14 guest rooms consisting of 10 doubles and four singles. Each is equipped with Wi-Fi and TV. The lodge features a lounge, pool table and pro shop. A sauna and hot tub are adjacent to the main lodge. The Ranch House has five single rooms.
20 gauge double barrel shotguns are suggested. The lodge has loaner Orvis and Beretta guns and shotgun shells on-site. Hunter orange hat and jacket are required. A complete gear list will be sent upon confirmation. Frontiers can provide expert advice on finding the right gear for your trip.
Fly to Lewiston, Idaho, where you will be met by a Flying B representative and transferred to the Ranch. Arriving by mid-afternoon affords a warm up round of clays. Unlimited birds are a staple of the Flying B. The Ranch is Orvis endorsed and a two-time winner of the Orvis Wingshooting Lodge of the Year award. Use the Ranch’s guns or bring your own. Gourmet cuisine celebrating wild game and featuring original recipes by Chef Ryan paired with fine wines will compliment your meals. If you have a small party or your group would like a more private setting, the Ranch House is the perfect option.
