Montana Fly Fishing Lodge sits along the Absoraka Mountain Range in a quieter corner of Montana where anglers are more likely to encounter the local wildlife than they are other anglers. Owner/Hosts Lincoln and Judy Powers welcome anglers to experience their special brand of family style hospitality in the beautiful lodge while exploring the famous and lesser-known waters of the region. With many years of experience in hosting anglers and non-anglers, the lodge has a variety of “off the water” activities that will engage every member of the family.
Several rivers fall into the MFFL “Homewaters” category. Guests will enjoy the quiet, unpressured Stillwater, Boulder, Rosebud Creek, and more. The Yellowstone and Bighorn are also options for those looking to fish bigger waters. Experienced, knowledgeable guide staff.
A stay with MFFL can include accommodations in the main cabin (4 suites, 1 with king/ bunk beds, 3 have double queen layout), 5 canvas wall “glamping” cabins (sgl king or double queen), or the off-site High Country Cabin (near the NE entrance to Yellowstone NP.)
The equipment will vary with the style and tactics of the fishing. We like a fast 9’ 5wt for dries and a 9’ 6wt for nymph rigs.
Guests of the Montana Fly Fishing Lodge can access the lodge via Billings (1 hr), Cody WY (90 minutes), or Bozeman (2 hr, 15). The lodge can assist with private airport transfers for an additional fee if requested.
