Families seeking a perfect location for a western-themed vacation, look no further. Lone Mountain Ranch is located one hour from Bozeman and is an oasis of history inspired by and deeply ingrained with a colorful past that is Montana. The ranch offers something for all ages and is ideal for multi-generational groups and families. Perfect for guests’ fly fishing, horseback riding, white-water rafting, rock climbing, hiking or touring Yellowstone National Park. Children can also enjoy the Outdoor Youth Adventure Program that will teach them about outdoor discovery.
For the anglers in the group, Lone Mountain Ranch is an Orvis-Endorsed Lodge that offers fishing on blue ribbon trout streams such as the Madison, Gallatin and Yellowstone — among others including private spring creeks and mountain lakes. Brookies, browns and rainbows are the line-up here.
Each cabin has its own charm. Several cabins are along or near North Fork Creek with private porches for relaxing. All accommodations have a private bathroom with a tub and shower combination. For larger families there are two cabins that easily accommodate 10 – 18 guests.
Your guide will provide all necessary equipment from rods / reels and terminal tackle when you book your guided fishing trip. If you do prefer to bring your own gear, we suggest four to six weight rods. Be sure to bring quality rain gear, waders, polarized sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection.
The ranch operates on a Sunday – Sunday week long ranch program, June through August. During the low season, guests may book shorter packages, if available. Guests fly to the Bozeman Airport and are transferred to the ranch. In the Summer Discovery Package, all on-site ranch activities, meals and accommodations are included in the cost. The ranch dining room features farm-to-table cuisine that incorporates locally sourced ingredients when possible. Guests enjoy live music every evening in the saloon and verandah.
