Families seeking a perfect location for a western-themed vacation, look no further. Just one hour from Bozeman, Lone Mountain Ranch is an oasis of history inspired by Montana's colorful past. The Ranch offers something for all ages and is ideal for multi-generational groups and families. They off fly fishing, horseback riding, white-water rafting, rock climbing, hiking, and touring Yellowstone National Park. Children can also enjoy the Outdoor Youth Adventure Program that will teach them about outdoor discovery.
For the anglers in the group, Lone Mountain Ranch is an Orvis-Endorsed Lodge that offers fishing on blue-ribbon trout streams, such as the Madison, Gallatin, and Yellowstone (among others, including private spring creeks and mountain lakes). Brookies, browns, and rainbows are the line-up here.
Each cabin has its own charm. Several cabins are along or near North Fork Creek with private porches for relaxing. All accommodations have a private bathroom with a tub and shower combination. For larger families, there are two cabins that easily accommodate 10–18 guests.
Your guide will provide all necessary equipment, from rods and reels to terminal tackle, when you book your guided fishing trip. If you do prefer to bring your gear, we suggest 4 to 6 wt. rods. Be sure to bring quality rain gear, waders, polarized sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection
The Ranch operates on a Sunday–Sunday week-long ranch program June through August. During the low season, you may book shorter packages if available. You fly to the Bozeman Airport and are transferred to the Ranch. The Summer Discovery Package price includes all on-site ranch activities, meals, and accommodations. The Ranch dining room features farm-to-table cuisine that incorporates locally sourced ingredients when possible. Enjoy live music every evening in the saloon and on the veranda. Babysitting is available upon request.
