La Torcaza Lodge

Decoyed pigeons easily combined with volume Cordoba dove shooting

Experienced hunters say that pigeon hunting is one of the most underrated activities in the wingshooting world. At La Torcaza pigeon lodge, a David Denies property, the pigeon shooting trips include ample numbers of decoying birds, top guides, Argentine cuisine and wines.

Picazuro pigeons decoy from vast distances only to vanish at the slightest hint of a concealed shooter.
La Torcaza Lodge is an Argentine estancia of rich Spanish influence, which offers eight en-suite bedrooms.

Shooting

Decoyed pigeon hunts are offered in a 50-mile square radius of the lodge. With over 60 shooting fields, ample agriculture and roosts ensure good populations for strong shooting. The mechanized pigeon carousel draws distant birds with mesmerizing efficiency.

Accommodation

This classic estancia is an architectural jewel that was built in the second half of the 17th century. The elegantly restored estancia is tastefully decorated in a colonial style. It offers 9 en-suite bedrooms, living room, dining room, fully-stocked wine-cellar and complimentary bar.

Gear

Ear and eye protection are a must. Beretta, Benelli and Browning shotguns are available to rent at the lodge. Due to Argentine regulation bringing guns is not suggested; however it is possible. Cartridge prices, further gear recommendations and trip details are provided in our pre-trip document.

Trip Specifics

Guests can enjoy a trek in the surrounding countryside and explore the lake overlooked by the Estanica, horseback ride, play tennis on the groomed clay court, enjoy historical tours and shopping trips to Cordoba, or play a round of golf at La Cumbre Golf course just 40 minutes away.
