Yellowstone Valley Lodge

World-class trout fishing in scenic Paradise Valley in southwestern Montana!

Situated 14 miles south of Livingston and a 1-hour drive from Bozeman, Yellowstone Valley Lodge’s comfortable guest ranch is home to some of the finest blue-ribbon trout fisheries in the Rocky Mountains. The warm, welcoming staff introduces you to the area's adventure opportunities including fly fishing, rafting, scenic floating, hiking, tours of nearby Yellowstone National Park, horseback riding, and fine dining! Yellowstone Valley Lodge’s chef's philosophy is bringing the valley to the table by incorporating seasonally-selected, fresh local ingredients into his repertoire.

Fishing

Float the fabled Yellowstone River, or fish renowned waters, such as Armstrong's and DuPuy's spring creeks, along with freestone rivers, such as the Upper and Lower Madison and the Boulder and West Boulder Rivers. Eric Adams, owner of Montana Fly Fishing Guides, will get you on the best fishing.

Accommodation

Enjoy several cabin accommodation options. Standard, cozy cabins are perfect for two people. Or upgrade to Absarorka two-bedroom cabins that can house three to four people. Each cabin has kitchen and living room. New 2015–Bridger King Cabins and Beartooth Bunkhouse. Call for more details.

Gear

Frontiers will provide a thorough list of what to pack. We recommend 4- or 6-wt. rods (depending on the streams and rivers you are fishing) with floating lines. Be sure to bring quality rain gear, polarized sunglasses, waders, and a hat for protection. The Lodge has a fly shop on site.
