Spring Creek Lodge serves as an ideal starting point for experiencing Northern Patagonia fly fishing at its finest. Overlooking the famed Chimehuin River, the lodge places anglers within easy reach of the region’s renowned fisheries while providing genuine hospitality from a tenured staff, outstanding meals, and a comfortable, laid-back setting ideal for anglers and non-anglers alike. The 7-month season delivers a diversity of fly-fishing opportunities both from the lodge and on-river “Glamping” experiences on both big and small regional rivers and spring creeks.

Fishing

Fishing in Northern Patagonia offers diverse experiences: float the Chimehuin, Alumine, Collon Cura, and Caleufu Rivers, wade the Malleo River and spring creeks, or try glacier-fed lakes with dry flies. Catch rainbow, brown, & brook trout, with fully equipped rafts and Boston Whalers for all outings

Accommodation

Six casitas with shared baths offer cozy stays, while the river house provides scenic views. The clubhouse hosts chef-prepared meals, cocktails, fly-tying, daily happy hour, traditional cuisine, and lively evening events, creating a warm, welcoming Patagonian atmosphere.

Gear

Medium to fast action 5/6 weight rods able to punch wind/distance and present dry fly or streamer. Weight-forward floating lines and longer leaders produce. A gear list is provided with confirmation package. Frontiers makes first-hand tackle and fly recommendations.

Trip Specifics

Ideal for a group of anglers or a mix of anglers/non-anglers with regional opportunities for all. The lodge offers full-week, Saturday to Saturday stays. Beyond fishing, guests can enjoy day trips to Lanín National Park and surrounding lakes, along with wine and traditional mate tastings. Activities include birdwatching, photography, horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, and biking. Cultural experiences range from artisan workshops and cooking classes to visits to farmsteads, dairies, and regional markets. Red stag hunts and limited quail cast-and-blast are available in season upon request

Rates

2027 - $7,850.00 per guest. November to May season. The package includes seven nights of lodging, six full fishing days, round-trip transfers from CPC Airport, National Park entry fees, fishing license and gear, all meals, and an open bar. Couples and singles, out-camp rates available on request.
