The Rio Malleo is Patagonia’s premier dry fly river, famed for prolific hatches, crystal-clear water, and dramatic scenery. March offers a perfect mix of cooler temperatures and surface-feeding trout eager for terrestrials and naturals. San Huberto, near Junín de los Andes, sits at the heart of it all, offering unmatched access to this spring-creek-like freestone. Easy to wade and rich in insect life, the Malleo remains a must-fish for dry fly enthusiasts.
