The best rainbow fishing on Earth? It's hard to argue against it. Royal Wolf is a luxury lodge located in Alaska's Katmai National Park with over 20 daily fly-out destinations to choose from. Rivers include the Nonvianuk, Big Ku, Little Ku, American Creek, Brooks, Moraine, Battle, and many others we don't mention publicly. Their beautiful lodge is on a heavily forested mountaintop, overlooking a series of small lakes and the Nonvianuk River. Their strategic location within Katmai National Park and Preserve allows us quick access to some of the best rainbow trout fishing in the world.

Fishing

Royal Wolf Lodge boasts an exceptional team of guides, ensuring a top-tier experience for even the most seasoned anglers. Guests can access the region's best rivers with planes, jet boats, and rafts. No matter the season, the staff and fishing program are second to none.

Accommodation

The lodge overlooks several small lakes and the Nonvianuk River. Each cabin is strategically placed with a view of the surrounding wilderness and a bit of privacy. All cabins have heat, running water (including hot water), a full bath with shower, and two beds.

Gear

The lodge will provide all flies and terminal tackle. Guests must bring their own fly rods, waders/boots. A 6wt. is the standard trout rod in W. Alaska —big enough to fight most fish and easy to cast. A 7wt. is used to target the biggest trout, a 5wt. can be fun in small water like side channels.

Trip Specifics

Location is everything when you're chasing big Alaskan rainbows! The lodge is located on a remote fishery with access to all the famed rivers of the Bristol Bay watershed. People travel from all over the world so they can experience what's at their doorstep. These incredible fisheries and short flight times set Royal Wolf apart from other Alaskan lodges. Royal Wolf offers a private, exclusive, and unique lodge experience. Only taking 12 guests per week allows for personal service. The lodge is well known for its high level of professional and personal services.

Rates

$14,250 pp+$120 native land fee. Fri-Fri Lodge Dates. Roundtrip commercial air between Anchorage/King Salmon is not included. Guests should plan to arrive at King Salmon at around 5 pm. For the King Salmon/Anchorage flight, guests should be departing King Salmon shortly after Noon on your final day.
