Located on Punta Pajaros, 30 minutes south of Casa Blanca Lodge, the guides have access to one of the last remote fisheries in the Caribbean, Espiritu Santo Bay. With the stringent regulations of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere reserve enforced, the bay went from an over-netted body of water 20 years ago to one that is teeming with bonefish, permit and other species today. Originally opened as an Eco-Lodge, anglers quickly discovered Playa Blanca’s excellent fishing, so the lodge is now almost completely booked by anglers. Blue sky, white sand and turquoise blue water–all waiting for your arrival.
Espiritu Santo Bay is all about species variety; bonefish, permit, tarpon and snook. Half the width of better known Ascension Bay, Espiritu Santo is an equally impressive fishery. The vast sand flats are perfect for wading while the deeper flats are a great place to find cruising permit.
With 7 spacious guest rooms, the lodge can accommodate up to 14 anglers. The rooms are decorated with bright Caribbean accents and offer queen size beds, large private bathrooms, sitting area and ceiling fans. The two bungalows set back from the beach are air-conditioned.
As a general rule, a 7- or 8-wt. outfit for the bonefish, 9- or 10-wt. outfit for the permit, both with tropical saltwater floating lines. A complete gear list will be sent upon confirmation. Frontiers can provide expert advice on finding the right gear for your trip.
In order to complete the transfer to the lodge the same day, your arrival flight to Cancun must arrive by 2pm. The lodge is accessed via a 55 minute charter flight south along the coast followed by a short boat ride to the Casa Blanca dock. From there it’s a 30 minute ride through the jungle to Playa Blanca. For your departing flight from Cancun, any flight departing after 11am is fine.
The standard package Saturday to Saturday operation.
You must possess a passport valid for 6 months after the last day of the trip.

What does Halley’s Comet have in common with two open rods at Playa Blanca Lodge? They are both rare occurrences! A shared room and shared boat opportunity has opened up at Playa Blanca in the March 8-15, 2025 week, and like Halley's Comet, they will not be around for long. Playa Blanca fishes the Espiritu Santo Bay that is located south of Ascension Bay in Mexico's Yucatan peninsula. ...
