Mostly found around reefs, there are many different types of grouper. Often caught on jigs and with bait fish with conventional gear, a lot of grouper can also be caught on the fly. They are dully colored in greens and browns, but a number are brighter, more boldly patterned fish. They are prime food fish and provide great sport for fishers.
