Frontiers have represented a number of plantations in the Southeast over the decades, and Rio Piedra Plantation is one of exceptional quality. Located near Camilla, this Orvis Endorsed Lodge has won "Wingshooting Lodge of the Year" multiple times, drawing visitors back year after year. Co-owner, Mike Fitzgerald is hosting his fourth returning trip to Rio Piedra with a fun group of clients and friends, booked for a 3-night/2-day stay Jan 29 - Feb 1, 2023, with shooting on the 30th and 31st. The group will fly out to Georgia on Sunday morning and return home mid-morning on Wednesday. The plantation is only a 3-hour drive from Atlanta, making the plantation convenient to access.
Per person, single occupancy, accommodations/shared guide: 3-nights and 2-full days of hunting is $3,935 per person + tax. We will shoot two hunters per guide. Most of the group books single rooms, but the double occupancy rate is $3,110 + tax if you would want to share a room and a guide. A single room/single guide rate is also available.
Included in the base rate: Lodging, fine dining, spectacular wine selection, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, personal guide/Jeep/dogs for each shooting pair, and a 12-bird 'privilege' per person, per day. The 12-bird privilege is not a limit, but simply the number of birds included in your base rate. The bird privilege is for a full day (AM & PM hunts).
Not included in the base rate: 8% state sales tax, gratuities, and a Georgia hunting license at a cost of $12 (plus a $2.50 processing fee). Licenses can be purchased through the State of Georgia's website, or call (800) 366-2661; choose "shooting Preserve License".
