Providence Atoll is truly a fly fishing utopia with giant and bluefin trevally, triggerfish, bumphead parrotfish, milkfish, bonefish, permit and other species caught on the flats or around the lagoon among the coral heads. With 345 km² of pristine white and turtle grass flats, the enormous lagoon system has numerous channels linking the Indian Ocean providing superb saltwater opportunities.
A live-aboard operation, the luxurious Quo Vadis is 75 ft long, 35 ft in width with a draft of 3.5 metres. It has four twin or King cabins, 3 for guests and 1 for guides.
Anglers can expect to target and sight cast to giant trevally, bumphead parrotfish, triggerfish, bluefin trevally, milkfish, Indo-Pacific permit, napoleon wrasse, bonefish, grouper, snapper, barracuda and much more. In addition, Providence Atoll is known for its fantastic offshore fishing.
Quo Vadis is an exceptional 750 luxury expedition catamaran that is well equipped for exploring the most remote Outer Atolls of the Seychelles. Designed with a high bridge and deck, she ensures quiet and smooth voyages across the Indian Ocean.
As a general rule, a 9-wt outfit for bonefish and permit, 10-wt. for triggerfish and milkfish and a 12-wt. for the GTs and bluewater. A complete gear list will be sent upon confirmation of your trip. Tackle can be loaned on-site if pre-booked - you need to bring your own fly-lines and spares.
DAY 1: Your charter flight departs Mahé from the Domestic Terminal at Mahe Airport, flies one hour to Alphonse Island a 30 min stop, then another 50 minutes to Providence Island. The group then transfers to Quo Vadis which will be anchored in close proximity. DAY 2–6: Breakfast at 07h00, teams are to be ready to leave Quo Vadis at 08h00 for fishing. Lunch is packed or onboard. At 16h30 your team will head back to Quo Vadis. Pre-dinner drinks commence at 18h00 followed by dinner. DAY 7: Breakfast at 07h00, ready to leave Quo Vadis at 08h00 for fishing. 1630 - return and de-tackle. DAY 8: Depart
