Remaining 2026 Availability in the Spanish Pyrenees

A handful of spaces are still available for Salvelinus' 2026 summer and early fall programs in the Spanish Pyrenees. This region offers an extraordinary range of fly fishing opportunities, from crystal-clear mountain streams and alpine lakes to larger rivers where anglers can pursue native zebra trout, wild brown and rainbow trout, and the highly sought-after Iberian barbel.

Guests stay at Bajo La Piedra Lodge, an intimate lakeside property designed for small groups of anglers. Its central location provides easy access to a diverse selection of waters, allowing guides to tailor each day based on conditions, hatches, and angler preferences. Whether stalking trout in remote mountain valleys or sight-fishing to feeding barbel, every day presents a different experience.

Available Dates

July 5–11 & July 12–18

  • Mid-summer is an excellent time to target Iberian barbel on the surface while also taking advantage of productive fishing for native zebra trout. Consistent insect activity throughout the region creates outstanding dry-fly opportunities for wild brown and rainbow trout as well.

August 16–22

  • For anglers seeking a more adventurous experience, this departure focuses on remote trout waters tucked deep within the Pyrenees. Access by mountain roads, rugged tracks, and optional helicopter transfers opens the door to lightly pressured fisheries and memorable encounters with large zebra trout in spectacular surroundings.

September 6–12

  • Early fall brings cooler temperatures and active fish throughout the watershed. Zebra trout are often found feeding aggressively across a variety of river systems, while Iberian barbel continue to offer exciting sight-fishing opportunities. Optional helicopter access to high-country lakes adds another dimension to this diverse late-season program.
