Located in the remote Taylor Canyon in southwest Colorado, Taylor River Lodge offers discerning guests world-class fishing without sacrificing any creature comforts. The property consists of a collection of stylish private cabins and family-friendly log homes that unobtrusively meander along the riverbank. Kokanee, the luxuriously comfortable main Lodge, beckons guests to the indoor/outdoor fireplaces and offers an unrivaled view of both the river and casting pond. You have exclusive use of the property’s amenities, such as the riverside pool house, sauna, steam, spa, and media cabin.

Fishing

The Taylor River boasts large rainbow, brown, and brook trout. The Gunnison River features 26 miles of driftable water, prolific hatches, and dense per-mile trout populations. You can also opt to fish nearby Blue Mesa, Taylor Reservoir, or a multitude of mountain streams.

Accommodation

Taylor River Lodge offers six private en suite cabins, one larger cabin with two suites and common living area, and one guest home with two suites and a bunkroom—reaching a max capacity of 30 guests. The Lodge is available for single suite/cabin stay or private hire of the entire property.

Gear

The trip cost includes high-end fishing and adventure equipment. Specifically, you will benefit from 4 and 5 wt. rods and floating lines for most scenarios. An in-depth Frontiers pre-trip information booklet and fully stocked on-site fly shop ensure nothing is left to chance.

Trip Specifics

Taylor River Lodge offers you the opportunity to fish one of Colorado’s finest rivers while also providing unrivaled hospitality. Enjoy a customized itinerary that maximizes fishing time while also including alternative outdoor activities if you'd like. Taylor River Lodge is located four hours from Denver and 25 minutes from Crested Butte. The Lodge has a mile of semi-private Taylor River access and hosts six-eight anglers on any given stay. Peak season is June 15–September 15. Taylor River Lodge has a private freshwater casting pond, climbing wall, teepee, croquet, and horseshoes.

Rates

Rates starting at $1,200 per person/night for all-inclusive stay in peak season June 15 – September 15.
Rate includes accommodations, meals, guided activities (climbing, biking, hiking, kayaking), all gear, regional airport transfers, beverages, and concierge.
